A Birthday Spread

Wow! I can't wait for Malcolm to fix me a birthday spread like the one Mr. Hunt prepared for Mrs. Hunt's recent birthday. Did I say wow? There was much too much food for it not to be a holiday. Then again, birthdays are the best, most personal holidays of all. Happy Birthday Mom-in-Law!

Smothered Pork Chops

Ever get a craving for a good gravy? Well, Friday evening I had the strongest taste for a smothered pork chop. I wasn't feeling so well and with Malcolm having plans for a night out with the fellas I thought there could be no better comfort food than fried pork chops smothered in an onion based gravy. Pure delight.

Once the scent of my sweet swine in hot grease hit Malcolm's nose, he decided to stay home for dinner and a movie. We ate leftover vegetables and rice with our chops. It was a very relaxed ending of a busy week.
