Yes, We're Eating

With all of this crazy heat and unpredictable weather, neither of us has been much in the mood for cooking. In the last week we have eaten more Chinese, McDonald's and Ledo's and Papa John's than we have eaten beef in the last month. Oh! Let me not forget the ice cream. I am enjoying my renewed interest and desire for coffee flavored ice cream. Enjoy the pics of one of the few meals we did actually cook over the last week, deep fried softshell crabs.

Round Two

So, I tried a new batter and hotter oil. Let's see if these crabs are better than the others...Nope; they were just as good.

Softshell Crabs for Lunch

A delightful celebratory lunch with Carrie at Village Bistro afforded me the opportunity to dine on softshell crabs and fettucine. While it was a bit too rich for an early lunch, I will definitely try it again; perhaps when it can be accompanied with a glass of wine.
